Closures and Delays due to December 31/January 1 Holiday

TO:     ALL USERS
FROM:    CITY HALL ADMINISTRATION
RE:    New Year’s Holiday – City Closures and Solid Waste/Recycling Collection

City Hall Closure:
Due to the upcoming New Year’s holiday, City Hall will be closed on December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020.  All phone calls will be returned on Thursday, January 2, 2020, when normal office hours will resume.

Library Closure:
The Library will be closed on December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020.

Parks and Recreation/Ericksen Community Center Closure:
The Parks & Recreation Department Administrative Office will be closed on December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020.  The Ericksen Community Center Lower Level and Fitness Area will be open until 3pm on December 31, 2019 and will be closed all day on January 1, 2020.

Police Department Business Office Closure:
The Police Department’s business office will be closed on January 1, 2020.

Bus Services:
Regular bus service will end at 5PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Special service will be provided for the holiday from 6:00 PM on December 31, 2019 until 2:00 AM on January 1, 2020. Riders will need to call the MTA to get a ride. MTA staff will ask for a pickup address and destination address, then they will be given an estimated pickup time, they will need to be ready and watch for the bus.  There will be no regular bus service on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 and the MTA office will be closed.

Solid Waste/Recycling Collection:
Monday and Tuesday (December 30th & 31st) routes will be regular collection.

There will NOT be solid waste/recycling collection on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.  Wednesday’s route will be collected on Thursday, January 2, 2020. Thursday’s route will be collected on Friday, January 3, 2020. Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday, January 4, 2020.

Please have all carts out before 7:00 am on the proper collection day.
