Police Officer

Description : The City of Clinton, Iowa (population 24,469) is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time Police Officer. 

Applicants must be 19 years of age by the application deadline date, possess a high school diploma or GED certificate and must be eligible to carry a firearm under all state and federal laws. Applicants must be non-users of tobacco products, capable of passing a drug screen, and must pass a thorough background check. Applicants must not have prior felony convictions, or convictions of domestic assault or a crime that involves moral turpitude. The selected candidate must be a United States Citizen, reside within or establish a residency within the State of Iowa and shall reside within ten miles of their place of employment within two years after their first day of work, and must remain a resident of the state and reside within ten air miles of their place of employment throughout their period of employment with the City, and be a United States citizen. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.
