                                                                          Street Light Outages

If you need to report a street light out in your neighborhood, please know that the City of Clinton is not responsible for fixing or repairing the majority of street lights in residential areas.  The City is mainly responsible for traffic lights (stop lights) and the lighting and poles in the business corridors throughout town.  Our policy concerning residential street light issues or outages is to encourage the homeowners to contact the utility company, Alliant Energy directly.  We do this because Alliant may have specific questions concerning the issue or outage which you would be better able to answer than we would.  You may call Alliant at their 800 number or submit a repair request online.

Alliant Energy:

If you need to report a traffic light (stop light) or a street light in a business corridor that is out or not working correctly, you may contact the Streets Department at 563-242-0261.
