The Streets Department is responsible for the maintenance and the safety of the roadways within the City of Clinton.  This includes approximately 144 miles of streets.

Hours of Operation:   6:00 am - 2:30 pm (summer hours)

General responsibilities includes:
  • Pothole repair
  • Street signs
  • Street sweeping
  • Alley grading
  • Snow and ice removal on city streets
  • Right-of-Way mowing
  • Removing fallen trees, branches and debris within the roadway

                                                                          Street Light Outages

If you need to report a street light out in your neighborhood, please know that the City of Clinton is not responsible for fixing or repairing the majority of street lights in residential areas.   You may call Alliant at their 800 number or submit a repair request online.
