Here at the Parks and Recreation Department, we offer a variety of youth sports for all age groups throughout the year. Whether your child is in preschool, grade school or middle school, they will have fun with participation, skill instruction and learning sportsmanship. Young adults and adults are also welcome to take tennis lessons.

BASKETBALL
Mini Shooters is a five-week program held on Thursday evenings for 3, 4 and 5 year olds not already in Kindergarten. The season runs from November through December. Participants will have all sorts of fun learning basic basketball skills in an effort to increase hand-eye coordination while learning age-appropriate skills in dribbling, passing, shooting and defense. gym shoes are required and program tee shirt will be provided to all participants.
Participant must turn 3 before the program ends to be eligible.

Little Shooters is a six-week program held on Saturday mornings beginning in November and running through mid December. Registration is K-1st Boys/Girls, 2-3rd Boys/Girls and 4-6th Boy/Girls. Participants will learn the fundamental basketball skills of dribbling, passing, shooting and defense, in a fun age-appropriate environment during the first four weeks. They will learn from experienced instructors, as well as local high school basketball teams. Participants will play games during the last two weeks of December. Gym shoes are required and program tee shirt will be provided to all participants.

Girls' Volleyball Clinic is offered for grades 2nd and 3rd. Participants will learn a variety of skills to increase knowledge and ability to improve proper passing, serving, setting and hitting techniques. This clinic is mostly instructional, some game play will be implemented. Instruction is by Club level coaches and local school players. Players will receive a program tee shirt. Knee pads are highly recommended, but not required.
