  YOUTH FOOTBALL
  Fall Flag Football   (2022-2023 school year)                
   
  Instruction in non-tackle flag football for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. (2022-2023 school year)  Volunteer coaches will show youngsters an assortment of warm-ups, drills and plays needed to acquire basic football skills. T-shirts will be given to all players and coaches.
Teams will consist of 7 players on the field at one time with minimum playing rules.  Children will be registered by the school they attend.

YOUTH JR TACKLE FOOTBALL FALL  2022-2023 school year

  Tackle Football is offered for grades 5th and 6th. Participants are taught the fundamentals of blocking, running and passing. Games are played, on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday evenings after 5 pm, at Emma Young Park behind the Ericksen Center and River Kings & Queens Complex. Equipment fitting consists of helmets, pants, pads and jerseys. Mouth guards will be provided.
To secure a spot on the team, pay and register by 5pm on  TBA.  After this date, registration may be unexpectedly shut down when teams are filled.  Only guarantee is if you register by TBA.

Spring and Fall Soccer are six-week programs designed to teach the fundamentals of soccer to participants ages 3 through 8th grade. Children will learn through practices, games and instruction by volunteer coaches. Games consist of smaller sided play to ensure more quality touches, to the ball, during games. Games are played on Saturdays.  All games will be played at the newly renovated Jurgensen Field. (Behind Home Depot) Spring games are played mid-April through May. Fall games are played mid-September through October.

JUNIOR BASKETBALL
1ST GRADE THRU 6TH GRADE

Join us for this 6 week junior basketball program featuring league play.  Players will be grouped together based on their school attendance center.  Volunteer coaches will instruct players with fundamentals, skills and plays through practices followed by 6 weeks of live game play.  Game officials will be provided.  Team shirts will be provided.  Team shirts will be provided to both coaches and players.  Boys and Girls play separately.

Girls' Softball is a program geared toward obtaining player skill development through practice and league play for participants, grades 1 - 7.  Minors are grades Kindergarten, 1st and 2, Majors are grades 3rd and 4th, Juniors are grades 5th - 7th grade Playing rule modifications are based on National High School rules.  Fillies play Monday through Thursdays.  Majors & Juniors are Mondays through Fridays.                                                                                                                                         
Visual Skill Evaluation (V.S.E): is a time when the coaches have a chance to review players’ relative skill and athletic ability.  Each player will 1) bat (4 pitches) from a pitching machine 2) run the bases to 2nd base, 3) field two ground balls thrown by a coach,  4) catch a pop fly, 5) throw each of the ground balls and pop fly to a player at 1st base and 6) pitch 5 pitches to a stationary target.  The coaches will then draft players based on the information gained through the V.S.E.  Players need to complete a “VSE” only once while involved in each level of play (Majors & Juniors).  In the second year, a player is automatically placed on the same team as the previous year, unless a re-draft is requested.

Girls' Volleyball League is offered for those in 4th-6th grade. It is a six-week program featuring league play on Sunday afternoons.  The games run from  early November thru mid December with Thanksgiving weekend off.  Volunteer coaches will instruct players with the basic fundamentals of skills and drills through practices.
*V.S.E (Visual Skills Evaluation):  
*V.S.E. Time:  5:30pm 
 *Visual Skill Evaluation (V.S.E):  is  a  time  when  the  coaches  have  a  chance  to  review players’  relative  skill  and athletic ability.  Each player will 1) Serve 3 balls over the net from the serves line, 2) Pass 3 balls received from a coach, 3) Set three balls thrown by a coach to a stationary target, 4) Hit, will receive a pass from a coach and approach and hit the ball over the net.  The coaches will then draft players based on the information gained through the V.S.E.
